I think we’d all agree that most kids need more and smarter time outdoors in nature.
Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland is offering free training in nature awareness education on September 18, 2014 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at their campus located at 10 Patriot Hills Drive, Stony Point.
It’s called “Take Root: A free training in Nature Awareness” and will be led by Liz Falk, of the Garden Based Learning Program at Cornell University. She will demonstrate methods of incorporating nature-based education into school programming and provide resources on how to approach nature awareness in the contemporary home and classroom.
