Three large and richly planted properties in northern Westchester will be open on Sunday as part of the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Program. Two of the gardens occupy 7 acres, and the third is 6 acres.
I have not been to Vivian and Ed Merrins’ Cortlandt garden, but the gardens of Phillis Warden in Bedford Hills and Barbara and Tom Israel in Katonah are among the very best gardens in the Lower Hudson Valley.
