Hudson Valley Garden Association kicks off their second annual Winter Lecture Series on Saturday, January 18th, 2014 at Starr Library in Rhinebeck, NY. Classes include an indoor gardening lecture with Cindy Muro, Greenhouse Manager at Mohonk Mountain House and a Kokedama Workshop. Fun & Success with Houseplants
10:30am-12:00pm – Even self-proclaimed “ black thumbs” will be inspired to enjoy & successfully grow houseplants this winter! Learn practical care tips and pointers, propagation basics, pest control and more. With Cindy Muro, Mohonk Mountain House Greenhouse Manager. Fee: $20.
2pm-3pm – Learn Kokedama, the Japanese method of planting in a moss sphere. This hands-on workshop will provide materials and instruction needed to plant your very own string garden to bring home and will explain the easy, long-term care techniques.
With Rebecca Glembocki, HVGA Co-founder. Fee: $30 (includes materials).

Hudson Valley Garden Association, founded in October 2012 by local gardeners Laura Wilson and Rebecca Glembocki of Wallkill, NY, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to stimulating passion for gardening and supporting and promoting local garden resources in the Mid-Hudson Valley.
