Staff, Board members and other volunteers of Rockland County’s non-profit organizations are invited to participate in free seminars sponsored by the Institute for Non-Profits, an educational program of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland. The seminars, which will be held at the Extension Education Center, 10 Patriot Hills Drive, Stony Point, NY 10980 are:
• Financial Management in a Non-Profit Business – Wednesdays, October 16 and 30, taught by Donalee Berard of Berard & Donahue CPAs, Suffern
• Creating an Effective Board of Directors – Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, taught by Consultant Dan Rostan
• Updating Your Mission, Vision and Strategic Plan – Monday, October 28, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, taught by Consultant Phyllis Morena
The cost of these classes is underwritten by donations from KeyBank, Orange & Rockland Utilities, and United Way of Rockland in order to make the classes available for free to the non-profit community.
