As part of my recent article on feeding birds in winter, we asked readers to send us their funny photos of other critters on their feeders. Well, we got squirrels, of course, but also bears, chipmunks, turkeys and raccoons. And so much for “squirrel-proof” feeders!
Have a look at all the antics— a link to our online gallery on lohud.com.
And here’s a late arrival from Patti Tomaselli:
“We live in Patterson, NY. These photos were taken with an infrared camera set up at night to capture the culprit who destroyed our beautiful feeder which he tore off the metal stand and ran off with into the woods the night before. We put these hanging feeders in the tree to see if we could capture him in the act! He also climbed over a large deck container onto my deck, stole the large bucket of seeds that we kept next to the sliding door and dragged it back over the container onto our lawn where he tore it open and dumped the seeds out!”
Thanks everybody! Great photos.
