“Join us for Gardener’s Day and the Master Gardener Plant Sale on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 11:00am to 5:00 pm at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Center, 10 Patriot Hills Drive, Stony Point, New York. Gardener’s Day is presented by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rockland, and sponsored by the Wickes Arborists, Atlantic Business Products, The Bug Clinic, J. Krokus Nursery, Schimp Farm, Schweizer Florist and Terra Firma Landscape, Inc.
Gardeners may choose three classes from nine being offered on topics such as Growing a Green, Healthy Lawn; Composting; Gardening for the Birds; Butterfly Gardening; Enhancing Your Life with Herbs; Trash to Treasure: The Recycled Garden; Accessorizing Your Garden; The Art of Growing Bonsai; and a Wreath-making Hands-on Workshop. Annuals, perennials and vegetable plants will be available for sale at the Master Gardener Plant sale, as well as garden-related products, plant, books, crafts and more. Registrants may bring up to 2 soil samples for free pH testing. Master Gardeners’ will also be on hand to answer your gardening questions.

The public is invited to the Master Gardener Plant Sale, free of charge. Registration fee for an individual class $20, or $55 for any three classes, and is due by April 20. Participants signing up for 3 classes will receive a free copy of Ralph Snodsmith’s Fundamentals of Gardening book.
